It is always fun to see unusual kinds of spinning wheels. I called in at the National Angora Club stand and got a bit more advice on felting angora fiber. I will certainly be having a go soon.

Fiber East
Had a good day at Fibre East in Bedford yesterday. It is the first time I have been to the Redhill venue and it seemed to work well even if it is a bit spread out. I had to make sure that I didn't miss anything.

Happy Bunnies
Here are my rabbits looking very scruffy. Although they were not ready for clipping I could not leave them with their coats on in this hot weather so out came the scissors. I usually clip them every 10 - 12 weeks the fibre will be about 3" long plenty long enough for spinning but this time it is only 1" long so I think I will try to felt some . There are some good videos on You Tube explaining how so it will be fun to have a go. I will let you know how I get on.
At least they are a lot more comfortable now. Clipping angora rabbits is an important part of their welfare especially in the kind of hot humid weather we are having at the moment.
From top to bottom they are Farthing, Guinness and Daisy.
